Kinesphere is a developmentally appropriate concept that helps children become more aware of their bodies, their boundaries, and the way they move through the learning environment. Building on the foundational concepts introduced in the Kinesphere introductory module, this three-part series is designed to deepen understanding and practical application of Kinesphere strategies in early childhood settings. Participants will explore how intentional movement and structured spatial awareness can transform classroom management, promote self-regulation, and seamlessly integrate into daily routines and curriculum.

Part I: Understanding the Origins and Setting the Stage

Duration: 2 hours

In this first session, participants will review the origins of Kinesphere and its adaptation for use in schools, with a specific focus on early childhood education. Learn how this concept supports children in understanding safe and respectful body control both individually and in group settings, and how this concept supports a safe space for children to practice and develop specific movement skills.
